Building Parenthood: The Unconference – A Laravel-Based Event Website

Objective

Parenthood: The Unconference, a first-of-its-kind global event dedicated to transforming the way parents approach parenting, approached GTECH to create an engaging and functional event website. The website needed to serve both as a marketing tool to inform visitors about the event and as a comprehensive ticketing platform for registration and session bookings. GTECH was tasked with delivering a bilingual (English and Arabic) website that would support the event’s goals of educating and empowering parents worldwide

Challenge

The Parenthood: The Unconference website needed to:

  • Communicate Event Details Effectively: Provide clear and compelling information about the event, including reasons to attend, featured speakers, event programs, FAQs, and contact details.
  • Support Seamless Ticketing and Registration: Allow users to log in or create an account, purchase tickets for any of the three event days, and book specific sessions for the purchased event date.
  • Handle Complex Ticketing Logic: Enable users to access their past and upcoming sessions, as well as view purchased tickets, through a personalized user dashboard.
  • Cater to a Global Audience: The website had to be bilingual, offering both English and Arabic language options, and designed to accommodate users from diverse backgrounds.
